Campaign financing is a euphemism for "bribe," but modern dictionaries no longer permit this usage.
To pull this off, our ruling corporations changed the dictionaries, since it would not do to describe their renting of our elections as bribery.
Thankfully for them, they control the major publishing houses, the government, the mass media, and, it would appear, the language itself.
To check this out, find an old dictionary. The Random House College Dictionary First Edition, for example, defined "bribe" as "Anything given or serving to persuade or induce."
But new dictionaries make it clear that only illegal gifts are bribes, so that campaign financing, being legal in that those in power make it legal, is not a bribe.
At Liberty Underground, we use the old definition, calling campaign financing bribes, as it clearly is.
